Since 1971,
Akers Construction Services, Inc.
has specialized in helping churches provide the facilities
needed for effective ministry. Because our staff members
are involved in our own various churches, we understand
that each congregation is unique. Because we are a full-service,
interstate construction and architectural company, our
people have extensive training and experience in special
design conditions, in complying with national, state,
and local building codes, and in working with local contractors
and government agencies. We can work with a church to
design a new building, to both design and build it, or
to build it with another architect. This flexibility has
enabled us to give each church the best possible service.
We have found
many small or new churches do not need custom design.
Their need is simply an efficient, attractive, quality
building to serve as an economical tool for basic ministries.
Out of that need, the Genesis Series
of Ministry Centers was born.
The Genesis
buildings are Phase I "starter" buildings (thus
"Genesis" -- "beginnings") for new
churches or small congregations wanting to relocate. They
are designed for maximum efficiency, with multiple usage
of spaces wherever possible. The various models allow
a church to select a size that best fits their situation,
while the pre-design saves the church the majority of
any architectural and design fees.
The following
pages give an outline and elevations to show what can
be provided with the Genesis Series. Prices are based
on present costs in central Indiana, and will be adjusted
for your local conditions. In the Northeast, and some
metropolitan areas, costs can run as much as 20% higher
than in Indiana. Before we would start any construction,
we would obtain local prices and give you a fixed, guaranteed
price.
